My favorite hobby is railroad and landscape photography. It is fun to seek out intriguing and complex scenes and snippets of the world and to preserve them. It’s even more fun to capture rolling stock, old and new, in those complex views!
Knowing that there are so many ways to see a point in time, I like to find my favorite view and then show that to new audiences. To be able to present the world as you see it can be very powerful, and a very cool way to communicate. Below are some neat shots and some thoughts behind them.
There are many techniques of photography that I try to incorporate into each shot. The most prominent techniques I use in my work are a balanced composition and a lively contrast in size and color of the components of the image.

Bath in the UK has some beautiful rail-fanning opportunities, and York’s National Railway Museum is fantastic!
